9/22 Update

Although the Meadow Amphitheatre has been disassembled, in large part due to vandals, if you found your way tot his page, you might be interested to know that Image of the Mind Studios (1325 Industrial Boulevard, Southampton PA 189667) will be reproducing this stage as a mobile stage, which will also serve as our Parade Float, in particular, for the Gnomes of New Hope.

Here's the Donor truck, a 1963 Corvair Greenbrier.
The body of this van will be cut off and the chassis & running gear will be used on the mobile stage.
I have been planning to build a mobile stage for many years.
I finally settled in on a Corvair being the basis for it's running gear.

I welcome anyone who may like to work on this project to pay me a visit at the studio during business hours. I do expect to build this stage so that it can travel to state, County, and Community parks to make theatrical presentations and I welcome anyone who is interested in developing programs or helping to work on building the stage. The stage will be modular and self contained in terms of power systems, lighting and sound.

We used the Meadow Amphitheatre for Shakespeare and other types of performances, including Cinema and also having produced the World Premiere of an Opera there. It was starting to take hold, but the battle against vandalism was causing problems for the park, the police and those of us who had to repair their destructive ways. So Iquit doing it because I was not going to waste my resources and spend my energy fixing what the criminals were doing. "Do not cast your pearls before the swine"
